Delete Your Account

Overview

This page explains how to delete your QovaFit account and what happens to your data. Account deletion is initiated in the QovaFit mobile app; this website provides instructions for users who need them before installing or after uninstalling the app.

How to delete your account

You must be signed in to the QovaFit mobile app with an active account.

1. Open the app and go to the Profile tab.

2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.

3. Read the confirmation dialog, then tap Schedule deletion.

4. You will be signed out immediately. Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period.

If you cannot access the app but need help, contact us at hello@qovafit.com from the email address linked to your account.

30-day grace period

Deletion is not instant. When you confirm, we schedule permanent removal of your account and associated personal data 30 days from that moment and sign you out.

During the grace period your account still exists on our servers. You can cancel the scheduled deletion by signing in again with the same email and password before the 30 days end. A successful sign-in cancels the deletion and your account remains active.

After the grace period ends, deletion cannot be undone and you will not be able to recover your account or data.

Data removed after the grace period

When the grace period ends and your account is purged, we permanently delete the following data tied to your account:

Account and profile: your user record, including name, email address, password, profile photo or avatar, phone number, date of birth, and account settings.

Health and activity tracking: daily tracking records such as weight, hydration, step counts, and related history.

App preferences and usage: saved favorites, user settings (including meal plan preferences, reminders, and notification preferences), in-app notifications, and recipe ratings you submitted.

Community content: posts and comments you authored in community areas.

Challenges: your participation in group challenges is removed or anonymized (for example, progress entries and participant lists are updated so you are no longer personally identified; challenge records created by you may show a generic “Deleted user” label where you were the host).

Data that may remain

Some information is not fully erased immediately or may persist in limited form:

Backups: copies in routine system backups may remain for up to 90 days before they are overwritten automatically.

Community copies: content you shared may have been saved or copied by other users outside our control.

Uploaded media: profile or other files stored in our file storage may not always be deleted at the same time as your database records; we work to align removal with account purge.

Operational logs: certain technical or push-delivery logs may retain anonymized or minimal identifiers for up to 90 days.

Catalog content: exercises, recipes, and meal plans that are general app content (not personal to your account) are not deleted because they are not your personal data.

While deletion is scheduled

Between scheduling and the end of the grace period, your account and data remain on our systems. You are signed out after you confirm deletion. If you sign in again before the grace period ends, scheduled deletion is canceled and your data stays intact.
